ISO - An Overview of Our Organization

Throughout my days as an international student I realized my academic experience in the USA can be an interesting, fulfilling and exciting one. I came to know of ISO when I was a foreign student (this was the term used for 'international students' at the time) in New York City. I joined ISO support staff and with time I became the chairman of the organization.

We realized that one of the major concerns of international students is the high cost of medical services and health insurance in the USA. International students are coming to the USA from countries where medical services are public and affordable. Adjusting to the American health system is hard, sometimes frustrating.

ISO has a clear mission: providing the best comprehensive, yet affordable, health insurance to international students.

How do we accomplish our objective?

This is done by utilizing the law of large numbers in favor of our student-members. We play the American game by taking advantage of ISO's power of purchase when shopping for health insurance plans. The high volume of ISO members drives insurance companies to offer our members more benefits at lower monthly rates. This is as simple as it sounds.

The support of leading insurance companies allows us to concentrate on providing high level of customer service to our members. Keeping the interest of international students is our goal.
