Frequently Asked Questions for Broward College

Yes! ISO insurance plans are designed to meet Broward College’s waiver criteria for international students. After enrolling in an ISO plan, you can submit proof of coverage to satisfy Broward College’s health insurance requirement.

ISO plans include access to the Aetna PPO network, giving you a wide range of providers to choose from in the Fort Lauderdale area. You can visit Broward Health Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic Florida, and MD Now Urgent Care — all considered in-network with ISO.

After enrolling, you should log in to the Borward student portal and request to complete Broward College’s Health Insurance Coverage Form. During the process, you will need to submit a digital request for ISO to complete your waiver. You can send this request to customercare@isoa.org .

ISO plans cover both emergency and non-emergency expenses related to treatment for injuries and sicknesses — including doctor visits, urgent care, hospitalization, lab testing, and prescription drugs.

The U.S. healthcare system is very expensive, with even general doctors visits costing hundreds of dollars. Even if your school doesn't require coverage, it's still recommended to stay safe and enroll in an insurance to minimize your risk of incurring life-changing medical debt.

After you purchase, you will automatically have access to your insurance ID card, confirmation letter, and payment receipt. This will be emailed to you and will also be available for download through your ISO account.
